It’s Christmas Week. Our wanderings took us (very appropriately for the season) to the basilica of Sagrada Familia, which means “Holy Family”. And for fun…here are a few of the Christmas lights that are up in the Barcelona neighborhoods of: El Born, El Gotic, and L’Eixample. Julie and I wish you a wonderful Christmas Holiday.
The Cathedral of Barcelona is an amazing place. Don’t confuse it with Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia. This Gothic cathedral is in the center of Barcelona. Construction began on it in 1298 A.D. and lasted until the mid-15th century. It is believed that there were earlier cathedrals on this site, dating as early as 400 A.D.
